Myrrh Tooth Powder

Teeth, teeth...

I´m using homemade toothpaste and powder almost for one year now and I can tell you, it´s not comparable to commercial one...in the beggining the taste can be bit strange, but when you get use to it, you won´t go back...suddenly the normal toothpaste will be super sweet for you and you can fell the synthetic flavors.
And believe me it´s not that difficult to change to this healthier version.

Tooth powder in comparison to toothpaste doesn´t need a preservative, because it doesn´t contain water. However if you prefer toothpaste, take a bit of this powder, mix it with water and use right away.

The recipe:

  • Put myrrh and salt in a mortar and grind them to fine powder
  • Add all remaining ingredients, grid and mix them with pestle, so the oil doesn´t stay in lumps
  • Put the powder in disinfect container and store in dry place
Using of this powder is very easy. Put small amount of the powder on clean wet tooth brush and clean your teeth.

The powder doesn´t make bubbles, but cleanes your teeth perfectly. Clay, xylitol and salt will take care about the cleaning part.
If your gums or teeth are sensitive don´t use essential oil and cinnamon.
And what about myrrh? Myrrh is used in oral cavity inflammation caused by bacteria and viruses, heals small mouth ulcers and strengthens teeth and gums.

What do you think about this combination? Will you try? 😊
