What else goes through your mind when you buy shea butter in 70% sale than making 100% shea butter soap? 😃
I can tell you this is the most perfect shape of soap I made so far, just look at the picture, it´s so simple and so beautiful 😊
However the properties of this soap aren´t so great as the look. It has light creamy lather, which looses very fast, the feeling on palms is nice, but I kind of feel that it´s bit drying, which is bit strange, because the soapcalc shows 0 for cleansing properties. I tested it only on myself, so maybe is individual.
Unrefined shea butter has it´s own "strange" smell, so if you don´t like it, you won´t like this soap neither. I love the smell and with the combination of essential oil Ylang Ylang, it´s just perfect for me.

Ochranné okuliare, rukavice, dlhé rukávy, vetraná miestnosť. V prípade poleptania pokožky roztokom hydroxidu alebo surovým mydlom, oplachujte postihnuté miesto aspoň 15 min pod tečúcou vodou.

!Safety
Gloves, goggles, long sleeves, ventilated area. When splashing lye water or fresh soap on skin rinse the area with tapped water for 15 min.
Process:
- Weight all the ingredients
- Slowly add sodium hydroxide to the water and stir till it all dissolves - NEVER WATER TO SODIUM HYDROXIDE and let cool to 30 ℃
- Melt the butter and let cool for a temperature around 30 ℃
- Slowly add the lye water in your butter and stick blend to trace
- Add essential oil and mix in
- Pour the soap into mould, tap the mould on the table to prevent air bubbles, cover with cardboard and blanket and let sit
- Unmould after 24 hours
- Let cure for 6-8 weeks before using
This soap is easy to make, actually anything can surprise you with this one. The biggest + for me is the nice simple shape and for the lovers of shea butter the great smell.
