'Christmas Warming' Goat´s Milk Gingerbread Soap

yaaaaaaaaaay, I couldn´t resist anymore and I´m already listening to some christmas songs...I can smell cinnamon, orange and sweet fragrance of vanilla everywhere...gingerbread cookies have to wait, I´m doing soap 😋
I made this one especially for my friend, which has a little farm with sheeps and her only two requests were that it has to contain milk and smell as gingerbread. 
Here is the recipe of 6 (±) 90g soaps:  

7% pretučnenie, 60kvapiek= cca 3g esenciálneho oleja
             + váha
               ponorný mixér
               nádoba (na oleje)
               nádoba (na roztok hydroxidu) 
               lyžica, stierka

          5% superfatting
             + scale
               stick blender
               container (for oils)
               container (for lye water) 
               spoon, spatula 
               silicone mould


!Safety
Gloves, goggles, long sleeves, ventilated area. When splashing lye water or fresh soap on skin rinse the area with tapped water for 15 min.

Process:

• Freeze your milk in ice cube mould 

• Weight all the ingredients

• Slowly add sodium hydroxide to the milk (never milk/ water to sodium hydroxide) and stir till it all dissolves. It will take some time, so be patient. It has to be very smooth and you can´t feel any lye in the mixture. To prevent the milk heat up use a bowl with ice under your mixing container

• Melt the oils and butters when necessary and let also cool for the same temperature as the lye water is 

• Slowly add the lye water (milk) in your oils and stick blend to thin trace 

• Add essential oils, honey, gingerbread powder and cocoa powder, stick blend once again

• Pour the soap into mould and- and now there is a question- to put it in the freezer- prevent the gel phase or let it get through it?

Well, I decided not to freeze it and I´m not sure if it´s geled 😀 but I think it is. It was already getting out from the mold after 5 hours and maybe already too hard for stamping, but I did it anyway with little pressure (you can see it on the picture)

Let it sit for 4-8 weeks before using. 

After 3 weeks the pH is around 9 and I have to say I´m impressed with the lather, it´s amazing.  

As always be careful with cinnamon, not everybody likes it and it also can be irritating for your skin. Always try only on small piece of your skin before using on whole body.
