Super triple coconut soap! 😀
Are you saying that coconut soap is drying on skin? Not, if you work with higher superfat level!
I used this time 30% of superfat, which it´s the highest so far, but you have to be higher with the percentage if you want to use it for body instead of laundry 😊
This soap is for all creamy lather lovers!
It contains coconut oil, coconut milk and you can use shredded coconut as exfoliant. It is much more gentle than coffee and also bit as poppy seeds. I love it!
What is very disappointed, that the soap doesn´t smell like coconuts. The only way is to use synthetic fragrance oil, so if you don´t want your soap natural, it will smell like HEAVEN! 😊
I like it very simple and I´m only using essential oils in my soaps, so I´m perfectly fine without any scent. Let´s go to the recipe:
!Safety
Gloves, goggles, long sleeves, ventilated area. When splashing lye water or fresh soap on skin rinse the area with tapped water for 15 min. - Weight all the ingredients
- Slowly add sodium hydroxide to the frozen milk cubes and stir till it all dissolves (this can take some time, be patient 😊 )
- Melt the oil when necessary and let cool for a temperature around 38 ℃
- Slowly add the lye milk in your oil and stick blend to medium trace
- Pour the soap into mould, tap the mould on the table to prevent air bubbles
- Sprinkle the top with shredded coconut (or make nice layer on the bottom of the mould)
- Put it in the fridge to prevent gel phase (or just some cold place)
- Unmould after 24 hours
- Let cure for 6-8 weeks before using
It is ready to unmould already after few hours, it´s nice hard, cleans perfectly and has the best creamy lather. You just have to try it! 😊
I love the idea of using shredded coconut!
